About this Site (and Me!)
Welcome to my soccer blog! My name is Zach Bragg and I like watching the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) play soccer. The goal of this blog is to provide myself an outlet for my thoughts and ideas regarding USWNT soccer games as well as a public avenue to critique and recommend improvements for the USWNT, US Soccer, and International Soccer, at large. Go Team!
More on my background. I’m not a professional commentator or analyst and I haven’t played soccer at the professional, club or college level either. However, I think I have good ideas and would consider myself an ‘amateur’ commentator/ analyst.
How my interest developed: I used to play soccer as a child into my teenage years; I stopped, but then I started watching Women’s soccer in college. I watched the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and that, specifically the USA vs France game, really cemented my passion for watching Women’s soccer, at least at the National level.
What you can expect from me through this blog is my coverage of various USWNT international friendlies and tournaments (maybe some of the USMNT games, as well) and the sharing of any thoughts, opinions, or ideas I have about soccer, US soccer, or anything tangentially related.
What you won’t be seeing much of in this blog is highly technical analysis, e.g., on field tactics, although my first post does delve into this area, to some extent.
Oh! Two more things! Firstly, to navigate the site please click on the two horizontal black lines next to the blog title at the top left of the page or use the links next to the blog title at the top right of the page.
Secondly, you may sometimes notice that a post’s initial publication date and current publication date differ. I do this intentionally so my website will prioritize posts I think are the most important and put them higher up on my ‘List of Posts’ page. This is done because my website prioritizes posts with the most recent publication dates. Just a heads up!
Cheers, and thanks for visiting!
